I can offer a private room with double bed (see pictures), typically from one or two nights up to four weeks. If this room isn't available, I am occasionally able to provide an alternative. The house is well located near to Williamson Park and about 10-15 minutes' walk from Lancaster city centre. The Lake District, Preston and Manchester are short(ish) bus or train journeys away. I am always available to help guests and often to show people around, if work commitments make it possible.

I had a lovely peaceful stay at Matthew's place. The room was big and the bed comfortable. I appreciated the workdesk space. There was a nice park nearby, Matthew was flexible with check-in and check-out, and an endless supply of tea was on offer. We exchanged stories over a glass of wine. Matthew is an excellent host, and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return.

Matthew's home is clean, warm and welcoming, and being carefully decorated to reflect the 1930s and 40s era in which it was built. Matthew is welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. I would happily stay with him again
