The main historic and touristic monuments and attractions – churches, museums, historic neighbourhoods, shopping areas, nightlife areas, the riverfront, etc – are within a range of a 15/20 walk:
- 10 minutes walk to the Lisbon castle (the most visited monument in the country)
- 10 minutes walk to Baixa/Chiado (historic xviii century area, currently a large shopping area)
- 15 walk minutes to Bairro Alto (nightlife epicentre where every night out begins)
Many options of public transport are available very close by:
- 3 minutes walk to the closer subway station (green line – Martim Moniz), buses and trams (the famous 28 tram has a stop just around the corner), connecting to all other important areas of the city – Belém, Parque das Nações, airport, train staitions, etc.
- 15 minutes walk to trains or ferrys connecting to Sintra, Cascais and the sea front (beaches).
Info on the best lgbt/friendly/whatever bars, clubs and restaurants as well as other places of touristic, historic, cultural or leisure interest will be available in the accommodation and with the host.
