Private and close to the Parliament

Very clean, quiet, comfortable, well located.

I absolutely adored my stay with Marc-Andre and Rex. After being warned that Ottawa is soulless and there was no reason to stay beyond the dates of my conference, I was delighted to find this bolthole, in a very real working class community with independent shops and cafes. The apartment was homely and had everything I needed (including toilet and shower in good working order), and the couple couldn't be more hospitable. My first time using Misterb&b and it reminded me of what ******** used to be like.

We really enjoyed our stay with Marc-André and Rex. 2 very nice guys who only want our best. Whether it's for choosing a restaurant, a bike ride, etc. They are there for good advice. Despite the wait upon arrival, we recommend this place which is very nice. Thank you guys. We will see each other again. David & Luc.

I stayed with Marc-André for the second time, and it was just as easy and relaxing as before. Ideally located for biking in Ottawa, doing a car/bike tour of the Outaouais, it was a pleasure to stay here. Marc-André and Rex are pleasant and easy-going. It felt just like home!

I felt at home for my second stay at the home of Marc-Andre and Rex. They are great hosts, and the place is quiet, comfortable, and really nice to be able to sit outside. I enjoyed the walk of about 25 minutes that leads past the Museum of History and across the bridge to Ottawa, which is easily accessible by car too. Looking forward to my next visit!

The studio is well located and matches the photos perfectly. Marc-André is easy to reach and very accommodating :) we really enjoyed our stay!

Nice basement apartment for those wishing to spend a few days exploring Ottawa and the surrounding area. The hosts (Marc-Andre & Rex) made sure we had everything we needed for our stay, and their communication was great before and during our trip. Just one small addition we would suggest would be to provide a basic welcome pack with milk & coffee, etc for those arriving late at night when all the nearby stores are closed. Apart from that a great apartment all round.

Basement rooms, even better than in the photos, very close to a vibrant neighborhood full of great little restaurants. Easy communication with the owners, the next time I return to Ottawa, I hope to be able to stay there again.

The host is very friendly, quickly responsive and helpful. The apartment is beautiful and clean. It is a very comfortable place to stay for one or two people. If you like to walk, the major tourist sites in Ottawa as well as Gatineau are all walkable: 20 to 45 minutes, depending where. There are also a number of restaurants and grocery stores very close by.

I am grateful to Marc-Andre and Rex for a very comfortable and pleasant 4-day stay. The room and bathroom were clean, the kitchen and local dining options convenient, and the hosts ensured everything needed was available. I appreciated being able to sit outside to read and write, and the nice 30-minute walk across the river to Ottawa. I look forward to returning on my next visit to the area!
