The ideal location just off the N2 highway and therefore easy access to various parts of the city. Buzzy by day, quiet at night and over weekends, this bright and colourful room with en-suite will feel like home away from home. Conveniently located close to Woodstock's trendy restaurants and markets (Bootlegger, Doubletree by Hilton, Old Biscuit Mill, Pot Luck Club & Test Kitchen). The neighbourhood is very safe and it's ok to walk around. A quick Uber ride gets you to Cape Town CBD and surrounds. Easy access and no mess no fuss! Specifically, a light and bright self contained, second floor ‘unit’ with direct access on a private sun terrace awaits you and you’re more than welcome to braai up there too.

Central to the space is a quality double bed and storage cupboards; to the left is a sitting area with mini fridge, tea & coffee making facilities and on the right is a large bedroom with a powerful shower and a pretty impressive view. I’m an open an interactive guy and coming back into the main apartment to share my kitchen and lounge is not a problem.

Chatting over a glass of wine is something I love to do if we’ve got the time. And if you’re new to the city, I’ve got insider knowledge to make your stay both memorable and the very best.

Shaun is a very welcoming person, and tries hard to make you feel comfortable. This includes introducing and inviting to gather with his friends at home and out, but at the same time appreciate if you like to do "your own thing - on your own". In general, very warm and openminded.

Q : What happens when a Corporate, 50-something Brit squares up to a Creative, 30-something South African ? A : A wonderful smorgasbord of dynamic conversation emerges, fuelled by mutual curiosity, the learnings from life’s experiences, a willingness to share and an openness to challenge. From the off, Shaun creates an environment that is relaxed and grounded. He’s a terrific ‘Ambivert’ - confident, straight-talking, quirky, animated and highly intelligent on the one hand ; on the other, reflective, considered, thoughtful and endearingly vulnerable. Whatever, his welcome is warm & authentic, his engagement, strong, consistent and generous. The accommodation is spot on - clean, bright, very comfortable and nicely independent. The views from the Terrace inspire. I loved that I had my own space and wasn’t under Shaun’s feet. Equally, it was great to chill with him and make sense of the world over a glass of wine. And I so appreciated a home cooked pasta dish which was delicious. Salt River/Woodstock is very much a ‘local’ area. Cafes & shops are a couple of minutes walk away. Beyond this, the Waterfront is less than 10 minutes by car or MyCiti bus and the major arterials taking you North and East are equally accessible. All in all, this listing - with it’s proud Capetonian Host - represents terrific value for money and ticks very many boxes.
