Our villa in the vineyard, also called Skaap huis as its surrounded by Skaap wines vineyards. Is a beautiful modern Cape Style farm house near Somerset West, the beach in Gordon's Bay, Stellenbosch and Cape Town.
Skaap Huis is surrounded by 3 hectares of vineyards. From the east patio you have a magnificent view over the vineyard onto the Hottentot Holland mountains. On the west patio you have your own lap pool and BBQ area. This beautiful 4 bedroom house is ideal for families and friends that want to stay somewhere quiet while being close to all the attraction that this area has to offer.
Overview - Guests: Up to 8 guests. Children of all ages are welcome. Kindly not that children need to be supervised at all times, as the pool is not fenced - Bedrooms: 4 Bedrooms: Four with king size beds, one with two singles - Bathrooms: 3 bathrooms: Two en-suite with double basin and shower and one sharing with double basin and shower over bath. - Amenities: Healing Earth toiletries and gowns. All linen and towels, including beach towels and dish clothes are supplied. - Kitchen: Open plan fully equipped and fitted: dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, small appliances and Nespresso coffee machine. - Scullery: Extra fridge and freezer, washing machine and dryer - Living and dining: Open plan living area, kitchen and lounge, with large dining table. - Entertainment room: Large Smart TV, selected DSTV, high speed WiFi internet connection, private phone. - Outdoors: Large patios on both side of house, lap pool (15mx3m), artificial grassed area, gas BBQ. - Electronics: Large screen HD 3D TV, DVD player, iPod docking station, Private phone. - Cooling & heating: Air-conditioning in all rooms of the house. Underfloor heating and heated towel rails is bathrooms. - Views: Magnificent views over the vineyards of Hottentot Mountains. - Cleaning: One hour house-keeping service daily, except on Sundays and public holidays. - Parking: Private parking for up to 4 cars. - Security: Situated on a secure country estate, armed response and alarm. - Located: Surrounded by working vineyard and olive trees, workers and machinery attend to our vineyards sometimes during the week - Guesthouse: Our guesthouse is approximately 150m from the house. At the guesthouse someone is always available to help with bookings of restaurant and tours. You can also join us for breakfast or dinner or book a relaxing massage with our in-house therapist. Advance booking is necessary. - The Farm: Our farm is 17 hectares. We have a guesthouse and two self-catering lodge and a communal pool which you can use. We farm grapes for our wine (Skaap wines), take care of our pine plantation and have a conservation area. Your welcome to walk around our farm and enjoy the nature. - The Estate: Our farm is located on Wedderwill Country Estate, a 260 ha wine and lifestyle farm. With over 20 km of hiking trails, a large dam for swimming and a small game farm with mainly bok.

Hello, I immigrated many moons ago to South Africa from wondering around the world. I think the Cape has it all, although there is still a lot to explore! I love travelling, hiking, swimming, in general being in nature, and I enjoy eating and drinking as well. Nothing is more relaxing and rewarding, as having a delicious bbq with a good bottle of wine with some friends after a long hike/swim.

As we are located on a large estate, you would be able to hike, run, swim or take our kayak for a paddle on the dam.
Close-by are beautiful vineyards that you can visit either for wine tasting or delicious lunches, we recommend Idiom Wine estate, Waterkloof Wine Estate, Vergelegen Wine Estate. ******** ******** ********
Lourensford wine estate is also close-by and has not only wine tasting, but also lively evening markets, a shooting range, coffee roasting place, etc. ********
Beaches and Clarence drive. Clarence Drive is a magnificent scenic coastal drive and along the route you have beautiful secluded beaches to explore. Or visit Bikini beach in Gordon's Bay which is one of the blue flag beaches close-by. Strand beach has a surf school if you want to be more sporty.
Blue rock cable water skiing is close-by and a relaxing resort that is wonderful to spend the day.
There are many golf course close-by, kindly let us know if your interested and we can book them for you.
Cape Town is a 50 minute drive and is famous for the cable cart up Table mountain or visit the V&A Waterfront and Robben Island.
Penguins can be visited either in Betty's Bay or Simon's town also approximately 50 minute drive.

Terms and Conditions / indemnify form Lalapanzi Lodge 1. All rights of admission reserved, maximum 8 persons – no outside guests allowed. 2. All guests undertake all activities at their own risk. The management accepts no responsibility for any theft, loss, damage, accident or injury whatsoever sustained whilst staying at the premises. 3. The self-catering villa should be used as short term holiday accommodation no photo shoots, parties or functions to be held without prior notice. 4. Due to the sensitive nature of the location, respect for wildlife and fellow guests is paramount. No undue noise after 9 pm please. 5. No fires to be lit in any location without the express knowledge of the management. The villa has a gas BBQ that can be used. 6. No smoking inside at any time. Guests may smoke only in designated smoking areas are kindly requested to use the ashtrays and smoking bins provided for the extinguishing of all cigarettes and cigars. 7. The repair or replacement for all breakages and damage caused to the property will be charged in full. 8. The renter hereby irrevocably indemnify Zus and Co Management Services Ltd and Lalapanzi Lodge, or any employee against any claim for injury to their self / their family or/and guests which they invite or are responsible for and against any claim for loss or breakage of personal effects which may arise whilst occupying the property, venue and the adjoining grounds, and that the renter resides on the property at their own risk. 9. The key is part of Lalapanzi Lodge, if it’s not returned to us on departure we will charge the replacements cost to your account. 10. On check-in signed authorisation for breakage ******** is requested.
