comfortable Chester city centre home stay * prices * kept LOW for 2026

Joe is a lovely friendly and very knowledgeable host showing me the many hidden gems of Chester during our walk along the city walls. Joe's home is in the centre of the busy city but yet located on a very quiet street, the house is like a TARDIS small on the outside but huge inside. My room was on the first floor of the property at the back, the room and bed was comfortable and I enjoyed two good nights sleep. The house itself is in need of some TLC that Joe is aware of and is presently renovating the property that reflects current the price. I will look forward to a return visit to stay with Joe again in Chester without any hesitation.

Chester is a lovely city and Joe couldn't have been a nicer, kinder host. My room and bathroom were on the first floor of his historic home, which is full of character and has a homely feel, on a charming street in the centre of town. It's an easy walk to the shops and sights of Chester and close to a taxi rank.

Joe was a delight to be with as we had common interests, he showed me around Chester so well and informative. The house is still undergoing refurbishment, but bed was comfortable and quiet location, so handy for centre of Chester with all it's attractions and amenities.

Great stay with Joe. My first using Misterb&b, but everything went smoothly and a good first experience. Great communication prior to and during my stay. A warm and friendly welcome. Great central location perfect for my stay with everything in easy walking distance. Room and bed perfectly comfortable. The house is undergoing some repairs and as such certain areas in need of some attention, but Joe is aware of this, and think this is definitely reflected in the very reasonable rate.

What an amazing guy Joe is. I loved his company so much. He knows the house needs some attention but he was always smiley friendly and attentive. Great communication too! Will keep in touch.

Joe is a friendly and very knowledgeable host and the property is right in the centre of Chester in a great location. Joe makes you feel welcome and at home from the minute you walk through the door and I look forward to another stay with him again soon.

Joe is an extremely inviting and welcoming host. I was warmly received into his home, which is hundreds of years old in a most beautiful part of Chester city. The area abounds in history. Joe is very knowledgeable about his city, and gave me a great insight into it's past. We chatted for hours over a bottle of wine, most enjoyable. The house is three story off a narrow street, which if one walks to the end of and turn left, you are in the heart of the shopping area. It is a five minute taxi journey from Chester railway station, and 35 minutes by taxi from Liverpool Airport. I look forward to stopping with Joe on my next visit to Chester, next year. The price charged is ridiculously low.
