The Reveal

Near LGBTQ+ SceneCozyInsta-WorthyRelaxing

Sleep within a delightful little old stone 'Bothy hut'. Warm and cosy and with an ensuite shower, WC and wash-basin it is both private and romantic. Across the drive up some steps is a calming day room with views of the trees and shrubs outside. Watch TV and relax after a hike through the mountains, or busy day sight-seeing. There's a microwave and induction ring so you can re-heat a take away, make toast and hot drinks. Free wi-fi is available in both areas. Recently modernised, you will have exclusive access during your stay. You won't be troubled by noise from other tourists on site, as there's only you! There are large private grounds to relax in and your hosts live in the house next door and are on hand to give help and advice, but guests are given peace and privacy. Just a short drive away is the stunning Morfa Dyffryn naturist beach

I'm now retired having worked in the BBC and then as a driver trainer. I enjoy the outdoors and hiking in the beautiful local scenery and travel, especially to Europe. My husband Mark and I have a cheeky lovable little dog called Widget. Our home has plenty of space including a very sweet outbuilding so we thought we would share it with others by becoming a host.

Nearby Attractions

Your holiday retreat lies on the outskirts of Harlech, a small town perched on a cliff overlooking the panorama of the Irish Sea, Llyn Peninsular, and mountains. Harlech has long been associated with artists and has an established gay community. Within a short walk is the truly stunning Harlech beach. A jaw dropping expanse of sandy shoreline that stretches for miles with a backdrop of mountains including Snowdon itself. The beach is dog friendly all year round, never crowded and the perfect place for jogging, bbqs etc. On a sunny day the local views could be mistaken for somewhere in the Greek Islands. A few miles away is Morfa Dyffryn one of the largest naturist beaches in the UK and popular with the LGBTQ community. The wilderness areas of the Rhinog mountains is right behind us and contains several sites of archaeological importance. All of the sights of the Snowdonia National Park can be reached in a day trip, including Aberystwyth and Llandudno and 7 steam railways, the Italianate village of Portmerion, and the pretty seaside town of Barmouth with it’s iconic wooden viaduct spanning the stunning Mawdach estuary. For those looking for thrills there’s the Coed Y Brenin Mountain bike centre, Fforest Zip World, Slate Caverns and much more within easy reach. For walkers there are trails for all fitness levels from easy coastal wanders right up to the challenging ascents of Cadir Idris, or Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) via the Crib Goch.
