Quiet & Relaxing (Queen Bed) Room

From the very first moment of the reservation, Gustavo was the most attentive and helpful person in the world! The reception was impeccable, unique details, the place feels like you're at home. Truly, it offers a human warmth and space that makes you want to come back! The location is ideal for getting to know the city, and the perfect stopover to access both coasts of the country.

I can absolutely recommend staying with Gustavo. Friendly host. The room is perfect, has enough space, nice view. Located in a nice and safe neighbourhood of San José. 20 minutes walk to Downtown San José or a very short and very affordable Uber Ride. The neighbourhood itself is safe at night, but San Jose Downtown is not safe for walking (alone) after dark (that is after 6 pm), so always take a short Uber Ride after dark. The room Gustavo offers is a very good choice for staying in a comfortable and good place and being close to everything.

I was impressed by the beautiful space, attention to detail, and easy communication with the host. While the older building had some dust, it was mostly clean. I would recommend house slippers in lieu of shoes to keep your soles from turning black. The stove ran out of propane, but the partner's boyfriend arrived within a couple of hours to help. Unfortunately, I did get a bad parasite from a local Chinese restaurant that landed me in the hospital, not the fault of the BnB but avoid Mae Lin.

Excellent time in San José thanks to Gustavo. The place is very welcoming, clean and very close to the center and the bus stops right in front of his house, which makes exploring the city very easy and cheaper. Gustavo is very attentive, organized and answers all your questions about everything, he is very kind and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. :)

Very nice and clean apartment, great, easy-going host and convenient location (bus-stop in front, but one can also walk to the center of the city, just a 15-minute walk away). Highly recommended.

This a a great apartment that is beautifully decorated and has a lovely quiet guest room for you to stay in. The bed is very comfy and the hosts ensure that lots of little things are set up to enhance your stay. Gustavo and Mel are lovely hosts and very helpful ensuring your stay is comfortable and the best it can be. Highly recommended.
