Situated on the banks of Zandvlei and only 200m from the beach, this comfy and colorful apartment boasts privacy, peace and quiet while being located only a short walk across the pedestrian bridge or along the beach to the Muizenberg buzz. Beautiful views of Muizenberg Peak and the vlei complement a newly renovated, separate space located above the main house with private entrance and own garage.

The space Modern, curated and eclectic open-plan living area includes a lounge, dining area and well-equipped kitchen (full fridge/freezer, gas stove, electric oven, kettle, cutlery, pots and pans, tea, coffee, spices, oils, etc). There is seating for 4 within the kitchen area, and comfy relax area with sofa and 2 armchairs. Original art by one of the owners adorns the walls throughout the space, making you feel very welcome.

Your own secure garage parking space, with electric door opener, also features a washing machine and hanging rack. There is plenty of space to store surfboards, beach gear, or extra suitcases.

The apartment is reached via a set of stairs alongside the back of the house. A shared outside braai/barbecue area is tucked away from the wind at the back of the house, and features a big table with seating for 6, along with 2 fully-equipped BBQs. The perfect place to hang on those long lazy evenings. The property also has a lovely front garden, the perfect spot to watch the sun set over Muizenberg Peak.

A very large bedroom accommodates 4 in a selection of comfy beds with hotel-grade linens (1 Queen bed and 2 singles (king bed on request)). The room is also equipped with thick curtains to offer coverage from the light, and 2 fans to keep you cool. There are two bathrooms both with spacious shower, toilet and basin (no bath). Plenty of wardrobe and storage space both in the main bedroom and in a separate room in the side hallway. Fast and reliable WiFi (with battery backup for load shedding), TV with media box for Netflix, Showmax, YouTube and board games keep you entertained indoors.

Owners Johan and Rob live downstairs in a separate part of the house, with their own private entrance, along with their cats Jupiter and Astro. The apartment has its own entrance and grants guests a complete sense of privacy. The units are separate enough that you do not hear noise from the living quarters downstairs. Owners are delighted to have you stay with them, and are very happy to help with any requests, needs, or wishes.

Depending on length of stay, bi-weekly cleaning and laundry service is available.

When load-shedding does occur (a maximum of 2 hours at a time and you always know in advance when it is due to happen, via an app), there are a wide selection of battery-powered lamps to keep things bright. WiFi runs on battery, so you are never without internet.

Muizenberg is a laid-back surfer town, known for its bohemian charm and creative flow. The property is a safe 10-minute walk either up the beach or through the streets to a wide range of cafes with great coffee, smoothies, and lunches, restaurants with inspiring cuisine, shops with surf gear and local art, and a large grocery store with all your needs. Visitors love the safe, friendly vibe and the barefoot attitude of local residents. Enjoy gorgeous sunrise walks along the wide beachfront, or a walk from Muizenberg to the quaint cafes and protected tidal pool swims in St. James and Kalk Bay. A gem of a place!
