A fully-equipped double bedroom in an architect-designed house next to a flowing river north of Sheffield. Large floor to ceiling window to let in natural light and a modern private bathroom adjacent to the bedroom. Guests can share the downstairs living room, kitchen and river terrace with me. The house is located close to the village of Oughtibridge a few miles north of Sheffield and convenient for walking and hiking in the Peak District. The village is quiet but has some pubs you can visit including The Cock! Off-road car parking is available. Please note that I have a very friendly small dog living in the house with me. No smoking in the house please, but you can smoke on the balcony outdoors.

I live in a quiet area. But if you want to visit Sheffield it’s not far and there are a few gay venues there that you can visit including bars and a sauna. Sheffield is a vibrant city with a large student population.

The room is in my house and if guests wish to use the living room/kitchen please bear in mind these are shared spaces with me and I would expect guests to respect my house as if it was their own and keep it clean and tidy. No parties, additional guests or excessive noise tolerated. No smoking in the house but you can smoke outside on the river terrace.

I had a great nights rest at Chris's house- very comfortable bed, the place was spotless. Chris was a great host with clear directions to his house. Perfect place to stop off whilst travelling north. Thank you!

Mark was a lovely and engaging host who made me feel instantly welcome and comfortable. He very kindly cooked an evening meal and the sustenance was complimented by good company and conversation over a glass of red. Combined with immaculate, well thought out accommodation which considered every requirement of a guest, I would urge any traveller to opt for this stay.

A lovely stay at Marks beautiful house. It is next to a river and is close to woods and the local village with plenty of food and drink options. Had a great time chatting with Mark and interacting with his friendly dog. Would recommend.

I had a very pleasant stay at Mark's house. Mark sent detailed location instructions in advance, and I found these really helpful. The house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking the river. The house was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. Refreshments were available in the room, and I had access to the kitchen and lounge. Mark was there to greet me on arrival and have me all the info I needed. It's a shame I was only staying one night and will definitely return.
