Welcome to our home!

Our house is ideally located in the center of the island, close to the airport, Fort-de-France and the main roads (which is convenient for arriving, departing and exploring the island during your stay), yet peaceful and surrounded by lush vegetation.

We like to welcome our guests with simplicity and warmth to make them feel at home. We live on site and would be delighted to chat with you and share our local tips (walks, beaches, outings) while leaving you complete freedom: you have your own key and can come and go as you please.

Your private space is upstairs: your double room (or two rooms if there are more of you), and a bathroom (toilet, shower and washbasin) right next door. Double beds can be separated into twin beds (please specify when booking). The rest of the house is shared with us, and we remain available if you need anything.

As far as the kitchen is concerned: breakfast is shared with us or at your disposal (savory or sweet options: coffee, tea, milk, hot chocolate, herbal teas (from the garden), fruit juices, and toast with jam or cheese spread and ham, sometimes fruit from the garden depending on ******** ripe at the time). For other meals, you can rely on Thai chef Thawit to prepare delicious meals for you (meals and/or cooking classes available at extra charge), or you can prepare your own meals in your outdoor kitchen on the terrace.

You'll enjoy a large terrace, partly sheltered for outdoor living, partly sunny for sunbathing, and partly shaded by greenery for relaxing.

The pool is designed to suit all tastes: 9 m long, wide steps, shallow end, deep end (1.80 m), bench seat with massage nozzles, powerful waterfall for massaging shoulders, static swimming belts, aquabike, toys, etc. The pool is salt-treated and heated to around 29°C all year round.

An outdoor shower (out of sight) is also available for you to enjoy this tropical specialty.

The pool and terrace are not visible from the neighborhood, and we're used to nudity. So you can swim and sunbathe naked if you like, and you won't have to worry about a wet bathing suit or marks on your tan!

Other activities include an outdoor badminton court and a darts board.

We have three cats; they live mainly outside and do not enter the rooms, but this is something to take into account if you suffer from severe allergies.

The house is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi.

Meals: if you wish to dine with us on the evening of your arrival, we will ask you to contribute 24 euros per person (half price for children under 12, free for babies) for a full meal (if you want something special, the chef is there for you: just ask) or the equivalent in local produce, which we may ask you to bring for us. If you eat at home regularly, you'll be able to order meals as you go, and choose a simple meal (one course) at half price. Please let me know a little in advance if you would like to have dinner on the evening of your arrival, and if you like, or cannot eat, certain foods, and in particular if you like chilli pepper or not. If you would like to take a cooking class, please ask me about the cost and organization. Transport: I can pick you up or drop you off at Fort-de-France airport or port (at an extra charge, depending on my availability, outside office hours). I can also, during your stay and on days when I'm working in the office, drop you off at a convenient bus stop in Fort-de-France on my route and pick you up at the same place in the evening (at no extra charge if it's on my route).

3 days in the middle of lush greenery, peacefully, with an amazing pool! We felt right at home with Alain and Thawit. And Thawit's Thai cuisine, delicious... Even a birthday cake! Coming to Alain and Thawit's place a few days ago, I had kept a very good memory of my first stay and after a second stay of 4 days, I am still satisfied with the service offered, both in terms of Alain and Thawit's welcome and Thawit's Thai cuisine! And then there is a badminton court and a dart game available!!

An address to remember for a stay in Martinique... Welcomed by Alain and Thawit like a long-time friend! The room is comfortable, the pool very pleasant in the middle of a tropical garden! And then Thawit's cooking is excellent. Plus, Thawit is a very good guide! Thank you both Alain and Thawit! I'm coming back... at the end of the week!!

I didn't want to leave! This recent home is clean, comfortable and private - and more importantly to me - hosted by a gracious, fun and most helpful couple. The upstairs was my very spacious sleeping area, but I spent my waking hours at "home" outside on the patio or in the pool - usually in the buff (if that's your thing). Breakfast was filled with great conversation, and I elected to eat with the hosts every evening, I think - always outside, of course! Thawit is an excellent chef and will share his secrets if you're curious. Alain is a great source of info for all things Martinique. Both are charming as hell :-) I can't wait to return!

Very beautiful cottage, Alain was very kind, he provided us with lots of information. The cottage is well located. Very beautiful environment, comfortable bedroom.

Exceptionally Thawit was not present otherwise Paul would have found him very kind too! We had changed our vacation dates and Thawit had already left and I joined him shortly after. I had warned Paul, who had already booked before I blocked the reservations during our absence. Normally it's Thawit who is at home to take care of our guests and prepare excellent Thai meals.

We had a very pleasant four-day stay with Alain and Thawit... The house is very pleasant, ideally built in a beautiful tropical environment, with the entire mezzanine floor available to visitors. Available and thoughtful hosts, very welcoming... Two very strong points at this misterBnB address: - the pool, accessible at any time of day or night, where nudity is natural, - Thawit's Thai cuisine, which allows you to share delicious dinners with multiple and different flavors, often making use of the garden's resources...
