The Reveal

Near LGBTQ+ SceneCozyInsta-WorthyRelaxingCentral location

A large, light-filled lower-penthouse in heart of East London. In a former light-industrial area being converted to loft-style living, we are nonetheless next to two of London's biggest parks. Especially if you are new to London, the panoramic views are AMAZING, as are the sunsets!

I love meeting people from all over the world and look forward to meeting you.

THE ROOM Your bedroom has a really comfy (I'm told by everyone who stays on it!) king size (American queen size) bed, as well as soft 400 count cotton duvet. There's extra space for your things including a desk and some wardrobe/drawer space so you don't have to live out of your suitcase (some of the items in the pictures are from previous tenants, so ignore those). It has free WIFI.

It has recently been newly painted and carpeted.

COMMON AREAS Please help yourself to tea and coffee throughout the day as well as the kitchen. If you would like to heat a takeaway meal, there's a microwave too.

I love modernist furniture and there's space to relax in the diner/living room, plus should you fancy a rest in the open air, we have a balcony with hammock and private terrace.

We provide fresh towels in the bathroom.

Hackney Wick is pretty safe and gay-friendly, with several venues a short walk away on the canal - including 2 More Years (with their Queer East club night), Colour factory and Queens Yard (which host several queer music and kink festivals), and a short bus or cycle to the plentiful queer venues of Dalston and Haggerston.

Host recommendations

Please treat the home as you would your own! Parties or groups aren't permitted in the flat, but do ask if you'd like to invite others you're meeting or visiting for dinner etc, as the place is more than big enough to accommodate this. Please be extra careful when closing the fridge, as there are medicines kept securely inside, but otherwise please use this and the kitchen as you need to. If a guest loses a set of keys during their stay, an £50 fee will apply. The front door should be double locked on entry or exit, regardless of whether the host is on site. Home insurance may be invalidated if the flat is left unlocked, and any premium or costs may be incurred in the event of a break-in.

Jonny was a wonderful host and I would highly recommend staying with him. He was extremely responsive with his communication before we arrived and was very helpful during our stay including plenty of recommendations for restaurants and activities nearby. The flat is very cool and beautiful, the room is clean and comfortable and the views from the terrace are spectacular. Will definitely stay again, thanks again!
