One block from the Nelson and Kemper museums is a quiet building where you hear almost no noise. Close to the park and KC Art Institute.
The private room and bath are well equipped, clean and cozy. There is a large closet, comfy king bed with a warm down comforter, ceiling fan, TV, your own bathroom with a double vanity, nice shower and bidet, and of course access to all the shared spaces of the home: a kitchen with all the essentials, a living room, laundry, and dinette.
I’m not much of a breakfast person but there’s always fresh fruit, coffee (Nespresso) and toast - self serve.
FYI. I have a non-shedding, standard poodle.

Jim is a fantastic host. The bedroom and a bathroom are sort of a separate unit with shared kitchen and living space. The neighborhood is green and leafy, very near the Kansas City Art Institute campus and the Nelson-Atkins Museum and its world-class art collection. Walking in the evening, I saw a large barred owl in the neighborhood. Lots of great place to walk and enjoy the lush greenness. Very much enjoyed talking to Jim in the mornings. Jim also gave me a great yoga recommendation.

Jim was super nice. He was super friendly and great to have a conversation with. I loved him and Sophye (his poodle). He stayed in constant touch with me leading up to my check in. I will definitely be staying with him again sooner rather then later. The room was super nice and spacious. I loved the bed. I liked how the blinds operate. I love the bidet and I loved loved loved the shower. He told me to make myself feel at home and I did from the second I walked in.

Jim was an all-out wonderful host. A kind person who is set on making sure you enjoy your stay. The place is easy to find, secure, and in a lovely, quiet neighborhood a short (5 minutes!) and easy drive to the bars as well as all sorts of restaurants. His home is beautiful. So very generous of him to share the space! I could not recommend staying with Jim more highly. 5 stars across the board.

This was my first visit to KC and I'm so glad I stayed at Jim's place. The suite is fully private (on a separate floor) and totally comfortable with all the amenities you could think of. The location is less than 10 minutes by car to the convention center/downtown, and also accessible by public bus (free but takes longer). Jim was a fantastic and thoughtful host who went above and beyond. He loves KC and shared a lot of great info about the city.

I really enjoyed the experience with my recent stay, and Jim is a great host. The place is clean, comfortable and within walking distance of the Plaza so a great location. I appreciate his friendliness, hospitality and attention to detail. I certainly recommend his cozy accommodation.
