Welcome to our home! My husband and I own an updated, 4 bed, 4 bath colonial house on a quiet and safe street a mile from great restaurants and LGBTQ+ nightlife in Akron. We and our 2 cats would love for you to stay in our guest bedroom.

Our house has 5 bedrooms: 1. Master Suite (where we sleep) 2. Large Pink Suite w/ Adjustable Bed 3. Large Attic (not furnished yet) 4-5. Simple Guest Rooms: the White Room and the Yellow Room (only White Room furnished so far)
This listing is for the Large Pink Suite.
All bedrooms are on the 2nd floor, along with the laundry room which has a washer, dryer, iron, and ironing board available for guest use.
The Pink Suite's Private, attached bathroom includes: *Shower/Tub *Trifold Vanity Mirror *Toilet *Sink *Hair Dryer *Bathroom Essentials
We share first floor common areas with guests (kitchen, dining, living, and great rooms).
Kitchen includes: Standard Kitchenware Coffee Maker & Grinder Microwave Fridge Stove/Oven Blender Toaster George Foreman Grill Rice Cooker Electric Water Kettle Crock Pot
We keep a list of breakfast foods on the front of the fridge to which guests can help themselves.
Living/great rooms include: Large sectional Small Exercise area w/ yoga ball & mat Gaming area
Guests park inside and enter via the attached garage.
My husband and I live at the house and are frequently around to answer questions. We both work full time jobs that keep us busy, but are always available to respond to messages even when we're out of the house. If the stars align, we love to share a meal or drink with our guests.
We use Alexa devices in common areas like the kitchen (none in guest room) and have a front doorbell camera w/ Ring security.
The room has a keyed deadbolt so you can lock the room from both inside and out. We will respect your privacy and never enter the space without consent, in the same way we expect our guests to respect our privacy and not enter our master bedroom.
While we welcome clothing-optional stays, please note that we currently rent 2 rooms total in our home. Though my husband and I are comfortable with nudity, please consider the comfort of any additional guests that are staying in the house. Feel free to message us in advance with any questions, and we hope to get to meet you!

Square is about 1 mile from our home and is my favorite gay bar in Akron. It is much more low-key than most gay bars, but has fun karaoke and trivia nights. My husband and I are kind of foodies sometimes, and we have dozens of restaurants we’d love to recommend.

Please follow all written signs and labels in guest room and kitchen. Just generally remember that this is our home, and to please respect our space. 🙂

Our overnight accommodation was wonderful! The room was spotless and even had our own coffee maker, Brett left us a detailed message before our arrival and personally greeted us when we arrived which made us feel very welcomed. A great bonus was being able to use the garage-such a nice perk, especially in rainy or snowy weather. We'll definitely be back again.

It was just what I wanted. I did not want to be downtown/hotel but rather be in a quiet neighborhood. The neighborhood is lovely and the home is beautiful. The room had everything I needed. It is spacious, so comfortable, I was able to really relax as well as get a good nights sleep. Brett and Alex are super hosts. They're very friendly show great hospitality, and very attentive. I'm really glad I found this gem and will stay there on my trips to Akron. Thumbs up.

Brett's place is fantastic! Very spacious room with a lovely sitting area and a table/chair setup that made it easy to work and have coffee in the morning. The couch in the room (which also doubles as an additional bed, if needed) was also comfortable to use. Brett has a Keurig coffee maker had the fixings for a hot cup o joe in the morning so I was able to be lazy and stay in bed a little later than expected. The room was clean, well appointed and the bed was super comfortable. My only regret was that I didn't get to meet Brett. However, he was readily available via messages and responded promptly every time. I would definitely come back to this wonderful b&b.

Great stay in a beautiful neighborhood in Akron. Brett and Alex are genuinely gracious hosts. I enjoyed our wide ranging conversation. My stay was another reminder of how amazing it is to be welcomed with sincere warmth and camaraderie in our community. The room with in suite private bath is bright and very comfortable, with a sunny view to the quiet, tree filled street. I definitely recommend, and hope to stay with Brett and Alex again when traveling in the area.

Brett and Alex are two exceptionally kind, hardworking, and considerate guys. I love their beautiful home, which is in an upscale, quiet, and charming neighborhood. The room is very large and has a super comfy bed and an attached bathroom. The WiFi was fast and amenities like the in-room Keurig was much appreciated. Brett provided excellent communication, a warm welcome, and was always very responsive. I enjoyed having dinner and conversing with him. I can't recommend Brett & Alex's home enough!
