Bus every 20 mins into Durham during the day and hourly after 7pm. £2.50 each way, taxi is around £7-12. Trains to Newcastle take 12 mins and are £3-6 single. Taxi back from Newcastle costs about £37-50. Driving - is around 9 mins to Durham, 25 mins to Newcastle.

Great access to the Pennies, North Moors, Northumberland coast, Durham, Newcastle and Co Durham and beyond. 10 mins away from the A1.

Plenty of great walks nearby, scenic route into Durham takes around 40-5 min walk. Beaurepair Ruins are around 10-15 min walk. There is a Morrisons Local and Newsagents in the village. We have a local takeaway for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week, Friday to Monday evenings there is also a desserts shop open.
