When I lived in Manhattan the best guests were those that were able to entertain themselves. That is the kind of guest I try to be and Sam allowed that to happen without question. I needed to attend a wedding near Sam's place and my siblings were overcome with envy when I showed them images of Sam's place and the surrounding neighborhood. My stay was short (2 nights) but I would recommend Sam to anyone who needs to be in the area around Troy, NY for any lenghth of time. Mea culpa-I realized about an hour after I left Sam's place that I had left some things in the closet. If the logistics can be figured out I may be able to get them back with Sam's assistance. Sorry, Sam, but thanks for a swell weekend.

My Albany hotel left me hanging at 10 pm with no room on a night when the city was completely booked. I contacted Sam and he was so kind and helpful, quickly assuring me I'd have a bed for the night. When I arrived we started talking and had a very pleasant conversation. The room was comfortable. His apartment is unique, as it's in a converted factory.
