Casa do Rio Alva with private access to the river

Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of nature in central Portugal, 4 km from the town of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra.

The Casa do Rio Alva is totally isolated in nature and has 3 bedrooms overlooking the river.

A comfortable living room with a fireplace and panoramic views over the River Alva, a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor wood-burning oven, an outdoor barbecue, free parking, and several garden areas and terraces with private access to the river.

The Alva River is a mountain river and a tributary of the Mondego. It rises on the southwestern slopes of the Serra das Estrela and runs for 106 km until it flows into the Mondego River.

Exploring the River Alva from our house is a unique experience, where you'll find: tailors, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, countless fish such as achigã, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.
