Really enjoyable! Arrival and check-in were a breeze. The room was huge...and fully appointed. We opted for the breakfast which was quite typical for German accommodations, i.e. a selection of steam-table eggs, fruit, yogurt, nothing exceptional but just fine to start the day. We were delighted to find a gay bar just across the square from the hotel. The location could not be better, just a couple of blocks from the dom, the Ludwig, and the Wallhaf. And the guy at reception steered us toward one of our favorite Koln experiences, the glorious pastries at Cafe Fassbender. Highly recommended, both the hotel and the cafe!
