Brian·4·Feb. 2026· "Although Jerry was not available for check in, he made sure that he provided accurate directions and instructions for access. The premises were as described. BUT when we tried to access the front/beachside we were unsuccessful. Jerry confirmed via text that we did not have access to the front/beachside.
The main reason we chose Sunrise Haven is because it was on the beach.
Photos were misleading....looking at the photos for the accommodation it appeared to included access to the oceanside of the property.
Of the 17 photos on the accommodation advertisement, six were of the oceanside/waterfront of the premises, including the lead photo ........ that after searching for access, we were informed by you, in text message, that we were not allowed to have access to the oceanfront.
We did not stay and sought other more suitable accommodation.
We have requested a refund but have yet to hear back from Jerry.

It's perfectly located just a few minutes walk from the beach and close to laundromats, shopping centers, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, the metro, and all the other great things Copacabana has to offer. I felt completely safe both in the apartment and in the neighborhood.
Gonzalo is a genuinely kind and soft-spoken host with a warm, welcoming vibe. He also showed me around a local gay bar and Pedra do Sal, which I really enjoyed :) Though he speaks excellent English, we had no trouble communicating in Portuguese.
I'd recommend this spot to any friend looking to stay in Copa and would definitely return myself!"

Calma Vista was the perfect combination between unwinding at the pool in a stunning villa and enjoying beautiful but busy (gay) Sitges. Phil and Gerson were very accomodating and thoughtfull. We also really liked getting to know other guests and our hosts while enjoying breakfast at the terras. We recommend staying here for sure."

The house is a beautiful modern home with a picturesque, totally private and prefect location to the clubs and bars. I was traveling alone, so it was particularly nice that Randy and Eric invite me out for a drink at the bar nearby. We had some great conversation, a little Tequila, and spent some time with them and their friend Daniel at the Cantina..."
