I was blown away by the diversity of Indonesia on my recent visit.
According to human rights and LGBTQ+ organizations, sexual orientation and gender identity are criminalized/marginalized in this destination. It might not be the safest place for LGBTQ+ travelers, who are advised to refrain from any public display of affection and remain careful.

My host was incredibly kind and welcoming, even inviting me to brunch twice, which I really appreciated. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend staying here. From the moment I met them I felt like I had known them for years and was just visiting my friends in Ubud at their beautiful home. The location is perfect, secluded when you need to be but within a stone's throw of some of the best cafes, bars, restaurants and yoga studios. Everything was perfect. I'd definitely come back"

The decor is funky and fun (I opted to stay in the Flamingo room). If you wanted to cook it's all there, but when your steps away from great restaurants... you get the picture. Strongly recommend."

The pleasure of being able to access the host's common areas, lounge and pool is an additional asset. The house is in the middle of a rice field 3 km from Ubud which gives it additional charm, but you need to plan for your scooter as it is mandatory since communications are complicated. Bottled water in the kitchen, mosquito spray/coils, towels, a pleasant housekeeper either daily or less frequently and great recommendations from BJ for clubs and restaurants (the Milk & Madu nearby became our favourite (their Cinnamon French toast is the best I've ever eaten). Wild Habit Pizza was also excellent. Thanks again."

The villa is the perfect retreat in a beautiful setting and very well appointed. Lovely room with views over the rice field and a lovely private relaxing pool. The villa's location was perfect. A short walk to the local bars, clubs, restaurants and shops and of course the beach.
The tours with Peter's driver were excellent. He was so friendly and knowledgeable and flexible to our needs. Great fun!
I would not hesitate to recommend Peter's villas to any visitors to Bali."
