The image of Marrakech has long been associated with homophobia. However, the city is becoming more and more friendly. Marrakech is now the most gay-friendly destination in Morocco.

Marrakech is a city to discover during a long weekend or for a longer period. If you are looking for adventure, Marrakech is the place for you!

Djemaa el-Fna
This beautiful large square in the center of Marrakech is one of the city's hubs. During the day, you'll find many local handicrafts for sale and good fresh fruit juices. If you have never seen snake charmers other than in the movies, the famous Djemaa el-Fna square is a good place to see them. When night falls, the square is ideal for a good meal and to sit and chat.

Souks
Marrakech is a paradise for shopping. Gay and lesbian tourists who are looking for bargains will be happy to know that the Souks area has a very good reputation for shopping. Built by Jacques Majorelle in 1924, the garden is a good representation of the Moroccan know-how in gardening. You will find in this magnificent garden, elegant flowers and local plants, but also species from all over the world. It is not uncommon to see people spending their whole afternoon in this garden.
