Uruguay wants to become a gay friendly destination

Pink money is increasingly attracting Latin American countries. Brazil has put a lot of money to attract more gay travelers from around the world.

No wonder Argentina's neighbor, Uruguay also wants to be in the gay scene. The so-called "traditional" tourism industry is one of the most important industries in the country. Putting into action concrete measures against homosexuals will help to find new financial sources for the country.

For some time now, it has been noticeable that the government is putting the main elements in place: a progressive policy, beautiful beaches, competitive prices, quality/price ratio, will undoubtedly attract gay tourists to the country.

Uruguay has legalized gay unions and common law.

The country is still far from being a "supergel" like its neighbor. But it's a safe bet that the country will rise from the experience of pink tourism and become as important as Argentina and Brazil in a few years.
