Crews & Tango

Crews & Tangos is Toronto's number one drag bar, a Church-Wellesley Village institution housed in a pair of converted Victorian townhouses since opening in 1994. "Two clubs for one," it spans five bars and two distinct dance floors, each energized by some of the city's best DJs spinning disco, retro, house, hip-hop, and R&B, with main-stage drag performances every night of the week and big-screen karaoke on Thursdays. A beloved community staple and top party destination that fought off a condo-development threat with a passionate preservation campaign (the buildings now carry heritage status), it's built its reputation on next-level drag, amazing bartenders, and a safe, welcoming space where patrons can be fully themselves. Recently, under refreshed management that's kept the magic intact, it remains the queer party destination of the Village.
