XS BAR

XS Bar is a Lyon institution, a small but wonderfully warm gay bar in the heart of the Presqu'île that's built an excellent reputation since opening in 2010. True to its name, it's tiny, colorfully decked out in vibrant lights and flowers, with a sidewalk terrace where the fun spills out, and regulars always seem to make new friends. Known as an LGBTQ+ safe space and one of the cheapest bars in the city, it's especially beloved by Lyon's bear community, who pack out its famous Apéro Bear nights and events with the GrrrizzLyon Bear Club. Founded by Fred and taken over in 2025 by Wilfried Carbonell, who's kept its inclusive, festive spirit intact, it's a friendly, no-judgment spot for a lively, affordable night out.
