Le Bouchon des Filles

Le Bouchon des Filles is one of Lyon's most beloved traditional bouchons, opened over a decade ago by Isabelle and Laura, two women who set out to carry on the legacy of the city's legendary meres lyonnaises. Their warm, rose-tinted little dining room serves generous, authentic Lyonnais cooking, quenelles, andouillette, terrines, cervelle de canut and praline desserts, lightened for modern tastes and built around a great-value set menu that opens with a parade of shared salad bowls. The welcome is famously friendly and unpretentious, and tables turn on a tight, well-run timing system, so reservations are essential. Centrally located near Place Sathonay and a short walk from Lyon's gay quarter around Croix-Paquet, it's a charming gay-friendly favorite for a true taste of the city.
