The Nellie is one of the newest additions to queer London, a stylish bar that opened in July 2025 in Castle Square at Elephant Park, part of the growing LGBTQ+ scene that's made Elephant & Castle a real destination. From the team behind the beloved Betty & Joan's and Elephant Pride, it offers a low-lit, "classy but casual" mood—a place for good drinks, curious company, and unhurried evenings—serving both food and cocktails. Relaxed and welcoming, it's the sort of neighborhood queer bar you'll wish you'd found sooner, and a lovely counterpoint to its livelier sibling, BJs, next door.
