The apartment has a lot of natural light and no vis-à-vis, making it very comfortable and discreet. The bedroom has a large window and a queen-size bed with a very comfortable mattress. The living and dining area are large and roomy, and so is the office. The kitchen is on the small side but still very functional. There is a full bathroom with a bathtub and an additional separate toilet. Parking in the street is possible but subject to pay (I can provide detailed information about this).

Basel is a very liberal and open city, and there is no vibrant gay scene. Instead, people of all preferences go out partying together. That being said, there are also some gay events, like drag shows. There is a gay sauna, though.

I'll provide a comfortable bed with clean sheets and a choice of hard or soft pillows. A towel, shampoo, and shower gel are also available. A simple breakfast is also possible, consisting of bread, cheese, ham, jam, milk, tea and coffee. Please let me know what you'll have beforehand so I can make sure everything is available. There's Wi-Fi at home, of course. If I have time, I can also offer a tour of Basel's main highlights. I need to go to the office during the week, so if you're checking out on a workday you'll need to leave with me at around 8:30 am. If checking out on a weekend, then you can checkout later.

Marco and his apartment are an absolute recommendation - the apartment is very clean, modern and comfortably furnished, flooded with light - with a wonderful view! A spacious, beautifully furnished, and comfortable 1-bedroom apartment in heart of Basel. Location is excellent, easy access by tram or bus everywhere in city including to train and airport. Marco is a wonderful host, who offers full use of his place while he sleeps in living room. Shared bathroom. Really enjoyed meeting and talking to him. Check-in, check-out have restrictive times but Kunstmuseum has free lockers if you need to store luggage! Basel hotels hugely expensive. This is a great deal!

It was a very pleasant staying at Marco's house, the apt is terrific, very clean, tidy and comfortable, the bedroom spacious and nice. Marco is the perfect host, very kind, friendly, always caring and available to give hints and advice anytime. He made the whole apt available for any needs. We had nice chats and shared our travel experiences. I regret I could not stay longer. Definitively recommended.

Marco is a wonderful host, warm, attentive, and easy to communicate with. He made sure everything was in place and that I felt comfortable throughout the stay. We had some really nice conversations, which added a personal touch to the experience. The apartment is beautiful, very quiet, and perfectly furnished with everything you might need. It is also ideally located, close to public transport and convenient for getting around. I had a truly perfect stay and would gladly come back. Highly recommended. Thanks a lot!
