Naturist guest house at Maison aux Herbes, Chartres

Maison aux Herbes is a private residence for men in the historic center of Chartres, just a few steps from Notre-Dame cathedral.

The guest house sits across a small courtyard from the main house. It has its own entrance and is completely self-contained, giving you your own space while leaving you connected to the life and atmosphere of Maison aux Herbes.

Maison aux Herbes is naturist. You are welcome to be naked not only in your guest house, but when joining me and other guests in the main house. The atmosphere is relaxed, open-minded, body positive and non-judgmental.

Nothing required, nothing expected, everything possible.

Some guests come to slow down. Others come to explore Chartres, connect with other men, enjoy the naturist atmosphere, or just feel different for a while. You are welcome to participate in the life of the house as much or as little as you like.

I normally offer a complimentary wine apéro in the main house at 18h. When other guests are staying, there may also be conversation, meals or spontaneous time together. Sexuality can be part of the ordinary life of the house, but nothing is assumed or expected. Chemistry and mutual interest always determine what happens between people.

Maison aux Herbes is also kink-friendly. Some equipment is available in the main house, but there is no dedicated playroom. As with everything here, participation is entirely optional and based on mutual interest, communication and respect.

Privacy is equally easy. Your guest house is entirely yours, with its own entrance across the courtyard.

The guest house occupies three levels, approximately 66 square meters in total. The ground floor is the private entrance. The first floor has the bedroom and bathroom, and the top floor has a spacious kitchen and living area. Large windows look across the courtyard toward the main house.

The double bed is 140 cm wide by 190 cm long.

The kitchen includes a combination microwave/oven, cooktop, kettle, under-counter refrigerator and dishwasher. A clothes washer and dryer are available if needed.

The bathroom has an American 110V electrical outlet. Other outlets use the standard French 220V system.

Think of your stay as less like staying in a hotel and more like being welcomed into a private home, while still having your own independent accommodation. You will find art, books, objects with history, conversation when you want it, and space to disappear into your own rhythm when you do not.

Maison aux Herbes works especially well for men who are comfortable with themselves and with other men being themselves: naturist or simply body-comfortable, curious, respectful and open-minded.

Chartres itself is part of the experience. The house is in the pedestrian-friendly historic center, within easy walking distance of cafés, restaurants, shops, the lower town and Notre-Dame de Chartres, famous for its medieval stained glass and labyrinth.

The train station is about a ten-minute walk away. Paris is approximately one hour away by direct train, making a day there easy if you wish.
