The Reveal

A remarkable Yorkshire Dales estate sleeping up to eighteen guests across two beautifully restored homes. Generous living spaces invite long meals and relaxed evenings together, while the surrounding countryside provides endless opportunities to explore. A place where everyone can come together, without compromising comfort or space. The Space: For the larger gathering, Rigg End Farmhouse and the Old Dairy Barn come together as one estate in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, Eighteen guests, nine bedrooms, two hot tubs and a generous spread of living space. One house gathers everyone around a fireplace and a terrace; the other offers three wood-burning sitting rooms and a Nordic kitchen. Together they hold a crowd with ease, while each keeps its own character and its own quiet corners. Days are for the fells, the rivers and the villages; evenings for fire, food, a soak in the hot tub and the kind of long table that keeps everyone talking. This is a walking country: the smooth, green Howgill Fells, the heights of Wild Boar Fell, and Smardale Gill nature reserve with its great stone viaduct are all close, while the celebrated Settle–Carlisle railway threads dramatic scenery nearby. Sedbergh, England’s book town, and a scattering of dale villages with old stone pubs are within easy reach. The farmhouse is: • 30 minutes from the Lake District – ideal for day trips to Windermere, Ambleside, or Ullswater • 15 minutes from Kendal – a lively market town with shops, cafés, and galleries • 10 minutes from Tebay Services – a beloved farm shop and service station offering delicious local produce and treats

You’re also just 10 minutes from Kirkby Stephen, which offers local amenities and rail access. Whether you’re planning scenic drives, countryside walks, or foodie stops, this is an easy base for all of it. On a 14 night stay there would be a change of linen and towels on the 7th night.

There are low ceilings and beams in the Farmhouse, so guests over 6'2" may be more comfortably accommodated in The Old Dairy Barn, with its lofty ceilings.

There are livestock in the surrounding fields, so please ensure pets are supervised at all times.
