A mirror-glazed cabin for two, designed around the restorative power of contrast therapy. Move between the warmth of the wood-fired sauna and the invigorating cold plunge, then settle into the stillness that follows. Inside, a king-size bed and floor-to-ceiling glass create a seamless connection with the landscape, reflecting and amplifying the natural beauty beyond. Thoughtfully pared back and deeply restorative, this is a place to disconnect, recharge, and reconnect with what matters. The Space: Near Llangefni, Gwiwer sits low in open country, mirrored glass folding the landscape around it. The draw is the ritual. Lighting the private wood-fired sauna is part of the slowing-down: tend the stove, let the heat build, breathe, then take the cold plunge and feel the day reset. The process repeats at its own pace, broken by moments outside with a barbecue, a drink, and the birds working the fields. Inside, the cabin is pared back and warm, a king bed with views of nature surrounding, underfloor heating, rainfall shower, a kitchenette for simple cooking. Nights are quiet and deep; mornings bring the sun through the glass and into the room.
Gwiwer, Welsh for squirrel, takes its name, like its sister cabins, from the wildlife of the island, with Llanddwyn’s sands and Eryri within reach.
