World Cup Crash Pad – Chill, LGBTQ+ Friendly Stay
In town for the World Cup? This is an easygoing, welcoming spot to land between matches and nights out. You’ll have a spacious private room with a queen bed (fits two) and your own bathroom, plus access to a shared living space.
The house is LGBTQ+ friendly, weed-friendly, and overall just good vibes. I’m a fitness nut working two jobs, so I’m rarely home—meaning you’ll have plenty of space and privacy most of the time. When I am around, expect good music and relaxed energy.
Located in the suburbs for a quieter stay, but highway access is under 5 minutes, making it easy to get to stadiums, bars, and World Cup events.
Bonus: One friendly cat lives here and occasionally supervises the house.
Great for fans who want a comfortable, welcoming base during the tournament.

The Kansas City metro has a welcoming and growing LGBTQ+ community. Most of the nightlife, bars, and queer events are centered in Midtown and the Crossroads districts, where you’ll find popular spots like Missie B’s, Hamburger Mary’s, and other inclusive venues.
From the house in Overland Park, Midtown is about a 20-minute drive, and an Uber typically runs around $30, making it easy to head in for a night out and get back comfortably. The suburbs are quieter and more relaxed, while Midtown offers the livelier side of Kansas City’s queer scene—so you get the best of both worlds.
