Palma is best explored on foot. Don’t miss La Seu and Parc de la Mar, the narrow streets of the old town, La Lonja, the Santa Catalina neighborhood, and Es Baluard for contemporary art and a beautiful view of the bay.
For breakfast or brunch, I like Surry Hills and Nala, while for coffee I’d choose Cafésphère. In the evening, Santa Catalina and the city center offer plenty of restaurants, cocktail bars, and outdoor terraces.
For the LGBTQ+ scene, Marcela is perfect for starting with a drink, while The2 is one of Palma’s historic gay bars, featuring music and drag shows. For something a bit more risqué, there’s ********tory and Dark Cruising Bar. Also check out the lineup at Over Club: it hosts some of the island’s top LGBTQ+ nights.
My advice? Don’t look for a “gay district” per se—Palma is very integrated. Mix it up with LGBTQ+ spots, the historic center, Santa Catalina, the beach, and places everyone frequents. That’s exactly what makes it such a great place to experience as a gay person.

My main rule is very simple: make yourselves at home, while respecting the house and those who share it with you.
I don’t like to fill the living room with rules, but a few things help everyone feel comfortable:
• Respect and quiet: Have fun and enjoy Palma, but when you come back—especially at night—be mindful of noise and respect the rest of the other guests and neighbors.
• Outside guests: I have no problem with you meeting someone during your vacation, but for safety reasons, please let me know before letting anyone in who isn’t included in the reservation. Parties or groups of outside guests aren’t allowed... unless I’m the one hosting the party ;)
• Kitchen and refrigerator: Guests have access to a dedicated refrigerator. The kitchen is not normally available to guests; if you need to use it for any reason, please ask me—we’ll be happy to find a solution whenever possible.
• Smoking: Smoking is allowed. I simply ask that you do so with care and respect for the other people in the house.
• Common areas: Please treat them with the same care you would in your own home and leave them as you would like to find them.
• Security: When you go out, make sure doors and windows are locked, and never give keys or access to third parties.
• Check-in and check-out: I always try to be flexible whenever possible. However, I ask that you stick to the agreed-upon times or let me know if your plans change.
• Damage or issues: Anyone can accidentally break something. I’d prefer that you let me know right away—almost everything can be easily resolved when we communicate.
And above all: this is an LGBTQ+ home, not a B&B or even a hotel. It’s a real home, lived in and shared, where I welcome people from the LGBTQ+ community and those who are LGBTQ+-friendly. So please adjust your expectations accordingly: less hotel-style service, more freedom, informality, and real life.
