We’re only a 5min walk (5 short blocks) to Queen St Mall and the Treasury Casino which are in the heart of the city center. A 15min walk to South Bank or in the opposite direction Fortitude Valley/China Town. Alternatively any of the above are no more than one to two stops on the train. We have loads of local restaurants in Spring Hill – Indian, Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Korean BBQ, Italian, Pizza's and a handful of pubs. Also two close 7/11's open 24 hours. There's a cool pub across the road called the Sportsman’s Hotel which is a gay bar and does great pub dinners 7 nights a week from 6pm to 9pm. A cool cafe on the ground floor of the apartment block which opens at 6.30am Monday to Saturday and does a great breakfast and lunch - very reasonably priced (breakfast special which is a ham and cheese toasted sandwich and medium coffee for A$5.95). Loads of other local cafes and a nice patisserie next door (the chocolate croissants are my FAV) . Some other cool pubs and local swimming pools all within a 2 to 5 min walk. Easy public transport access to Suncorp Stadium for rugby and football or Woolloongabba for the cricket. An Uber will not cost more than $8 to 10 to either of these stadiums. There’s a bottle shop across the road which is open till midnight daily and the IGA and Woolworth's (supermarkets) are both within a 3 minute walk for food shopping. You are definitely in the heart of everything here.
There is an airport express train which is only 6 stops to the International and 7 stops to the domestic airports. 20mins travel time from Central Station to the airport and they run every 30mins. 2 blocks walk from Central Station to apartment.
