The Reveal

7th Street Guesthouse is an elegant guest house in the heart of Melville. Located in a quite cul de sac, on the corner of 7th Street and 7th Avenue, at the bottom of 7th Street village and overlooking the Melville Koppies. We provide home comforts for pilgrims, tourists and business travellers alike. What makes 7th Street a unique experience? It is the outdoor patio, sipping cocktails as the sun dips beneath the Koppies. It is the private entrance and manicured gardens appointed to most of our rooms, that is such a welcome change for the frequent flyer. It is the vibrant common-room at night and the personal attention that every one of our guests deserves... It is the pulsing night-life, just a few blocks away, and the small bespoke bookshops and bakeries housed in the National Heritage buildings that make up the central village of Melville.

Rudi & Wessel were fantastic hosts; very welcoming, communicative, flexible, and also accommodating of last minute changes to our plans. They have tonnes of local knowledge and gave us plenty of tips for the area. Their sprawling property is centrally located to explore Johannesburg and was clean and well-equipped, with great communal areas to relax too. Was lovely to get to know them better and we'll definitely be back to visit again.

My first stay was so good I came back. Rudy was very accommodating again when I needed to arrive a day earlier than initially planned. Thank you for making my time in Jo'burg comfortable.

Lovely place and exceeded my expectations. I literally booked the place an hour before I needed it, and Rudy asked me to come over right away (even though the check in time is later). Cozy, clean and huge room (it was almost like having an apartment to myself). In addition to Rudy's friendliness, the two staff people I interacted with - Cindy and Vusi - were absolutely helpful and gracious. I'm still in SA for two more weeks and actually might return here for a day or two before I leave. Highly recommended.
