Great host and stay

What a great honour it was to meet Hannes & Johan! Their friendliness & welcoming reception made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. Their classic modern home is definitely 1 of a kind. It is perfectly neat, tidy & very clean. The breathtaking views from almost everywhere in the house is something very special. From the pre dinner drinks to the next morning's coffee made my stay unforgettable and I wish I could stay longer. I arrived as a guest & left as a friend. Thanks, you're the best!

If you need to stay in Johannesburg, don’t stay here... because you’ll never want to go back home! The room is spacious with a fridge stocked with water and alcoholic beverages, a kettle with tea and coffee and wonderful home-made South African ‘rusks`(a type of yummy hard cookie you dip in your tea). The rest of the home is vast, with many areas to relax in, from the lounge with its cosy fireplace to the recreation room with its enormous TV. We ate meals in the dining room, and it was a real treat to have linen napkins! The house was spotless, and there were even cut flowers. Outside, there are multiple areas to enjoy, including a cosy fire-pit seating area and the poolside with ample places to sunbathe. And it wouldn’t be a truly South African experience without a ‘braai’ (BBQ) area; in fact, there are three to choose from! There is ample, secure off-street parking, which is admittedly a little tricky to navigate, so don’t hire a Range Rover! I had a medium-sized SUV, and it was easy to park. The house sits upon a hill (Northcliffe), which affords it the most unbelievable panoramic views of Johannesburg; many mornings and evenings were spent enjoying the wonderful comings and goings of the Sun. But what truly sets this Mr B&B apart from others is the wonderful hospitality of the hosts. I was completely bowled over by their kindness and generosity, which extended to delicious evening meals and company when I wanted it. They offered advice and assistance when I wanted to book meals out or needed to shop for specific items; nothing was too much trouble, and I truly felt at home. I would have been so lonely and bored by myself had I stayed in a hotel. It’s an old cliché, but it is safe to say that I arrived as a stranger and left as a friend; I was even given picnic snacks to take home! So, a huge thank you to both Hannes and Johann for making my stay so wonderfully enjoyable! Gavin

It is a Spacious classic modern home, with magnificent views from every room as the description says. The hosts were fun and friendly. The place was immaculately cleaned. Felt completely welcomed. Very comfortable bed with a private bathroom.

The home was fantastic, beautifully decorated, and spacious on extensive grounds with spectacular views. The pool was an added bonus. I can not praise the host enough for making my stay comfortable, interesting, and entertaining with a generous breakfast each morning. They are gracious and fun. In addition, they helped guide me to safe parts of town and recommendations for bars and restaurants. Their generosity included laundry and a massage on the day I had to leave. Ultimately we became friends. Beautiful location and home with outstanding hosts. Highly rated 5-star experience
