Beautiful ensuite rooms in quiet neighbourhood near Rosebank & Sandton

Staying with Anton and Stuart was an unforgettable experience. Their warm and attentive hospitality matched the beauty of their home, which is tastefully and charmingly decorated. I must highlight the generous breakfast that truly amazed me, as well as the exceptional quality of the bed, making my nights very comfortable. I can only hope to return to enjoy this beautiful place and their wonderful hospitality again.

if a 10 review were possible I would give Anton and Stuart 10 stars. They are some of the kindest, most giving and sharing people I have ever met. I have already scheduled my return trip with them.

From the start, you can tell that Anton and Stuart really love being hosts. We felt very comfortable and were in good hands with them. They are clever people with whom you can have a good conversation. Anton showed us around the city, so we got a good feel for it. That was very helpful because it was our first time in Johannesburg. If you have an appreciation for aesthetic things, you will really appreciate their very unique house! What a joy it was to be there!

I don't know how to find kind enough words to describe Anton and Stuart. And there wouldn't be enough of them. The location, cleanliness, and design of the house are perfect. Anton and Stuart know perfectly how to welcome guests from beginning to end. Their kindness and generosity know no bounds. I could never thank them enough for what they've done for me. They embody human goodness. They know how to welcome guests so well that if they ever decide to change careers, they've found their calling. Staying with Anton and Stuart is like becoming part of the family, with their two adorable dogs and their beautiful parrot. They love sharing the city's secrets and you can feel their passion and love for South Africa and particularly Joburg. Their help and advice are precious. I recommend them 1000%. I had an unforgettable and perfect stay.

What an absolute gem. The house is gorgeous, very nice architecture, great interior and lovely art pieces. The room with ensuite bathroom is so nice and big that it feels more than s separate wing of the house than just a room. Perfectly clean, nice breakfast, very nice and safe area. The hosts Anton and Stuart are amazing. They go far and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. It was great spending time with them, we came as guest and left as friends. This is the perfect stay in Joburg.

We had a wonderful two-day stay with Stuart and Anton in Johannesburg. Their house is beautiful, very comfortable, and perfectly located. They are incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming hosts. They showed us around the city, and helped us experience Johannesburg in the best possible way. We truly felt at home and would love to meet them again — whether in Italy, Germany, Europe, Tunisia, or back in South Africa. Highly recommended!

Absolutely perfect stay. Friendly and generous hosts in a marvel of late modernist architecture, meticulously renovated to exquisite 2026 standards. Read other reviews and book a stay with Anton and Stuart.

Be in no doubt, this is a first class listing - across the piece. And pictures don't lie. Nor do past reviews whose authors have consistently spoken of the very best of experiences. The house itself is imposing and located in one of J'burg's best districts. Jacarandas bloom here in season and there's a real peace & tranquility at play generally. It feels secure and pretty exclusive. Inside and out into the back gardens and pool area, the design is impressive - large, roomy, lofty yet surprisingly homely. The style is contemporary but cleverly, there's a traditional vibe to Stuart & Anton's hospitality. And everything and everywhere is immaculate. My room had everything in it that you'd expect from a top class establishment. Anton was out of town but Stuart flew solo with great ease and accomplishment. He's humble, friendly and keen to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Mine was !

If you find yourself in Johannesburg, you MUST consider staying with Stuart & Anton! I cannot recommend them highly enough. For starters, the location can't be beat; their home is visually stunning; and the bedrooms are spacious, comfortable, and full of smart little details that'll make your stay that much more enjoyable (e.g., easy-to-access plugs and switches on both sides of the bed, USB-C adapters). However, Stuart & Anton are the real selling point. They make you feel like you're part of their family. They're charming and friendly and go out their way to make you feel at home. My husband needed to get some work done and they allowed him to use their office space! Also, Luke and Kylo are two of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. Do yourself a favor and stay with Stuart & Anton! Your visit to Johannesburg will be better because of it.

Five stars across the board do not begin to bring justice to Stuart and Anton's amazing escape in Rosebank area. The space could be straight out of Architectural Digest or Conde Nast. The photos don't do not fully capture the beauty and ambiance. My only regret is not being able to stay longer than one night. They were also excellent hosts and great conversationalists. Hope to stay longer next time!
