The Reveal
A 200 year old stone-built, traditional 2-bedroom house located in a beautiful village called Marathos, 20 minutes drive from Herakleion centre. Find the tranquility in this newly renovated space with a big fireplace to keep you warm and relaxed in the cold winter nights. The house also offers a large oven-house with big glass doors with amazing views of the surrounding mountains.
The house was built in the 1837 and is situated in a a beautiful traditional village called Marathos. Approximately 20 minutes drive away from the capital, Herakleion, the house offers beautiful mountain views and tranquility but also a wide range of activities and mountain hikes.

20 to 25 minutes from Herakleion centre 5 minuted drive from " Vulismeno Aloni", a great location and sightseeing for mountain climbers and nature lovers The monastery of Saint Panteleimon is located 10 minutes drive away, in the village Fodele, in a wooded area of orange and olive groves. The monastery was built with fortress architecture. Today a part of the walls and the beautiful entrance to the monastery are preserved. 20 minutes drive away from the Museum of El Greco which celebrates the mannerist painter El Greco, Domenikos Theotokopoulos, who grew up in the village.
