Welcome to our comfortable apartment in Gooik, a quiet spot above our gourmet store in the beautiful Pajottenland countryside. Enjoy the best of both worlds: the peace and beauty of nature, perfect for hiking and biking enthusiasts, and the proximity of cities like Brussels, Ghent and even Antwerp, all within easy reach by car.
You'll stay in a private room with a comfortable double bed. Everything is provided: bedding, towels, and of course, fast WiFi. The bathroom and toilet are shared with us, and to get to the bathroom, you'll have to go through our room (let's hope that's not a problem for you!)(we sleep nude 😇). Off course, you have total privacy in the bathroom when closing the door 😉 The toilet is completely separate and private, so no worries there 🤭
During the day, the apartment is wonderfully quiet as we work in the store downstairs. In the evening, we share the kitchen and comfortable living room. It's a warm and welcoming space where you'll quickly feel at home, ideal for one person or a couple. We can even prepare dinner for you at a reasonable price (€25pp).
A few important points to note: we prefer a quiet atmosphere, so no parties, and we ask for silence after 10pm.

No Parties or Events: Our home is a place to relax, so we kindly ask that no parties or events are held during your stay. Shared Spaces: You’ll be sharing the bathroom and toilet with us. To access the bathroom, you’ll pass through our bedroom. Please keep this in mind for your comfort and ours. You are welcome to use the kitchen and living room in the evenings, but please leave them as tidy as you found them. Noise Policy: To ensure everyone enjoys their stay, please avoid making noise late at night or early in the morning. We aim for a calm environment. Nudity: We sleep naked, so we ask that you are comfortable with this during your stay. Feel free to do the same. No Smoking Inside: For the comfort of all guests, smoking is not allowed inside the apartment. You are welcome to smoke outside. Parking: There is free parking available near the apartment. Please let us know if you need assistance with parking when you arrive. Pets: Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets. Respect for the Neighborhood: While we are situated in a quiet countryside area, we ask that you respect the peacefulness of the neighborhood when coming and going.

Excellent stay with Birger and Steven. Warm welcome. Pleasant room with a thoughtful touch featuring water, wine and chocolate. Very good dinner accompanied by an aperitif and wine. We were able to chat easily during the meal. Varied breakfast. Birger and Steven are attentive with a wonderful presence. I really appreciated their kindness. I highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at Birger's and Steven's place. For me the location was perfect since I was looking for nice walks in nature. We had nice and interesting talks during dinner, which was prepared by Birger and I only can admit that the dishes were full of "flavor"😉 The appartement is very comfortable with a good bed and perfect bathroom and you have nice views from the living room. The hosts really do their utmost to make your stay perfect. You have the feeling of being more than welcome 🥰 Thank you and already looking forward to my next visit. ...

So good! Birger and Steven were positively divine. I am so happy to have been able to stay a night at their place and be welcomed as a friend. They were very kind to have allowed me to join in their evening and we ate, drank, and chatted the night away. The perfect end to a day of solo traveling. As for the accommodation - Their home was super clean and the bedroom itself included the nice little touches of chocolates on the bed and water on the night table that you'd expect at nicer hotels. They were present if needed, but you also had your own space to refuel. Last but not least is their shop which is located on the base floor. It's one of the nicest boutique shops I've seen in the EU with all the teas, spices, chocolates and libations you could desire. I hope I'll have to opportunity to stop by into their little world again. Thank you both!
