I am a pretty straight forward (huh!) academic guy. Since I am turning 67 this year I have started a phased retirement. Currently no fixed job - and a lot of travel plans. When not working I love travelling, good food, ballroom dancing, rollerblading, swimming and hiking/trekking to mention a few. I have been to around 85 countries and intend to cover the rest more or less.

An all-round excellent experience. Lars and Mubtasem were wonderful hosts, helpful, approachable and fascinating to chat to. Their apartment was comfortable, modern and very well-located near to the metro and within walking distance of the centre. The bed is comfortable and they have a delightful balcony for relaxing on. Am happy to recommend their place and would happily go back there again.

Lars has a beautiful penthouse! Cozy and inviting and immaculate, with 2 very separate bedrooms. My bedroom was floor to ceiling window on two walls, overlooking water and city views. Simply gorgeous. And Lars went out of his way to have a neighbor open the apt for me as he couldn't be there when I arrived. And easy walk from the metro, and elevator up. I highly recommend staying with Lars if you visit Kobenhavn.

Lars is not only a friendly guest: he is inspiring and helpful, sharing many ideas and tips about Copenhagen. The room is peaceful and bright, very calm and with a great view from the last floor over the city and the sea. Ideal for a weekend break. Go for it!

Recently stayed here with a friend during Distortion. The apartment is really well situated close to the centre of the city and it is beautifully decorated with great views of the park and the sea. Lars was also an excellent host who gave us advice about what to do in the city and helped make our experience much better than it could have been. He was very friendly and accommodating, and I would recommend him if you're coming to Copenhagen.
