Comfy Private Room Right Downtown

Spent 2 nights in the capital of Canada and felt welcome at Tarek's place. The guestroom has a comfy kingsize bed on the second floor with a good view of Somerset Street. It was nice to talk to Tarek and we could use the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Ottawa has more than you might think of. We did the Senate and House of Commons guided tour. Both free if you book online. Highly recommended also is to rent a bike and explore the bike pathways. The network is huge and the rental station under Rideau Bridge has fantastic bikes for rent. If you head left on Somerset till Chinatown, you find Drip House. Experienced baristas brew you into coffee heaven and two streets south, True Loaf Bread is the place to pick up fresh baked artisan bread and pastries.

Had a great stay with Tarek. Checking in and out was smooth. His home is beautiful and clean. I found the bed very comfy and the showering facilities are great. His apartment is in a great location, short walking distance to all tourist spots (10-15mins). Tarek was very friendly and easy to get along with. I would highly recommend staying here !

Tarek was welcoming and kind. We had some good conversation and shared a meal which was easy and enjoyable. His home is clean and well appointed and the location of his home is very central to shops, restaurants and bars. I even walked 30 minutes to the National Gallery, which I highly recommend! Overall, a terrific visit to Ottawa with plenty going on in the city, even in February. A great host - thank you, Tarek!

Such a beautiful stay at Tarek's residence! Not only is Tarek a welcoming and kind host, he is accommodating, cheerful and a happy soul. His place is artistic, tastefully done and offers a comfortable stay in Ottawa. It is very well located in the heart of downtown Ottawa and close to Bank street. Tarek will offer all his expertise about Ottawa and will probably be kind enough to show you around as well. Tarek is the perfect host! The house was so clean and really close to the center. He showed me what to do and see and it was lovely spending time with him!

I stayed at Tarek's only one night but was worth it. The location is great, walking distance from everything. I'll definitely will stay again next time visiting Ottawa.
