The Reveal
My House is a 1930s House in a charming neighbourhood in the South of the city centre. The bedroom is situated on the 3rd floor and contains a large double bed (220x160 cm, two mattrasses). There's a possibility for an extra mattress on the floor for a 3rd person. Or two extra beds in the living room for the third and fourth person. You can do a request for special pricing.

On the 4th floor you have free use of a uniquely decorated 2nd living room. Fully furnished including audio set, TV and small kitchen with fridge, combi microwave and stove. Next to it you'll find a large roof terrace with a spectacular view on Groningen.
In my House we share 2 toilets and a brand new ******** bathroom with a rain shower.

Hey there, I'm Jan Willem, born and raised in the Dutch province of Groningen. I'm very interested in everything involving ships and sailing. I also love music, visit festivals and travel the world. My attic is decorated as a boatroom. Because it's situated next to the roof terrace (30 m2) I use it as my summer hang out. When you rent the guest room you also have free use of this extra living area which includes a small kitchen.

My appartment is only a 5 minute walk from Central Station and 10/15 minutes from the city centre. I live in a quiet area close to the south of the city centre. Supermarket and (pick-up and delivery) restaurants are nearby. A 10-minute walk away is the beautiful city park.

This rental was absolutely perfect! The spacious bedroom and charming terrace made for a wonderful stay. Jan Willem was welcoming and helpful and made sure I felt at home while I was there. Some highlights: - Very clean and tidy - Great amenities - Location is close to some shops and the train station, and easy to get to city centre - Fantastic view from the terrace I will stay here again next time I am in Groningen.

Perfect location right behind the central station. Lovely living room with open kitchenette, nice terrace. Beautifully decorated. Bedroom and bathroom on the lower floor, great bed. Slept well, didn't hear a single train. Very flexible check-in and check-out, arrived late in the evening and was able to leave my backpack behind and pick it up later. Supermarket around the corner to buy breakfast supplies.

Jan-Willem is a very nice and polite host. The apartment is very clean and cosy and next to Groningen Central Station. We highly recommend this apartment and in the future we will absolutely book it again when we visit Groningen.

Staying with Jan Willem was a pleasure. I had my own program, so we didn't socialize much. But he was very helpful, and I had a lot of space for myself. The balcony was superb when weather was good. There were quite a lot of steep steps in the house, and with one toilet out of order it was a lot of up and down. For me it was ok, but you should have good legs there.
