The Yellow Door Carriage House

The carriage house is located in the back of the lot where our home is. It is halfway between charming Historic Downtown Savannah and the fun beaches of Tybee Island, about 10 minute drive either way. You will need a vehicle or Uber or taxi. This is not within walking distance of businesses.

Within a short drive you will find grocery stores, pharmacies, bars and restaurants for your convenience.

On our tranquil neighborhood island, you can ride your bike or go on a stroll safely and secure, away from major traffic interference. Across the street is Turner's Creek, and the sunsets in the neighborhood are fantastic!

The Carriage House in a large backyard behind our house, which has a large front yard in a quiet street, so plenty of street space for parking. And before you arrive, I'll send you instructions of how to get into the back yard and into the Carriage house at your convenience.

We are pleased to say this is a gay friendly, smoke-free, one-story 15ft ceiling space, custom built home by one of the island's developers back in the 1970’s, however, completely renovated down to studs recently. We live in the house in the front, so if you need assistance I'm home most of the time, however, you have plenty of privacy to come in and out as you please.

In the loft feel like Carriage house there is a Full size bed, a sleeper sofa that sleeps one, (for a $25.00 added to the nightly price of this listing) in addition to all the linens and towels.

There is an utility kitchen with basic modern conveniences, such as a compact refrigerator to store your food and drinks (free of charge), a Keurig coffee machine, so you can enjoy coffee at your convenience (I provide the condiments), and a microwave - basic kitchen utensils provided as well.

The spa feel bathroom has a large tiled walk in shower, and an oversized vanity counter for all your conveniences.

Well behaved dogs (up to 25 lb.) are welcome (for a non refundable fee), however, if any damage is noticed upon departure, we reserve the right to open a claim for damages through MisterBnb. They MUST be potty trained, and please pick up after your pets, specially in our back yard. Your dog must be on a leash when in our back yard. Failure to have your dog(s) on a leash will result in you being asked to leave. We've had a bad experience which is why this stipulation.

Just outside the door there's a deck with furniture on the large grassy back yard, with a partial privacy fence, so you can enjoy your quiet time: pretty close to paradise.

The back yard is shared with the guests in the main house. You do not have permission to use the hot tub. It is not a part of your reservation.

Some of the flowers and trees on property include: banana trees, palm trees, begonias, impatiens, lantana, bridal veil, Mexican heather, marigolds, ******** dragons, petunias, gloxinias, african violets, tons of ferns, confederate jasmine, morning glories, mimosa tree, azaleas, gardenias, walking iris', hibiscus, dogwood, rose plants and confederate rose trees, to name a few; all of this on 1/2 acre.

Even though you're here as a guest, you are more than welcome to make yourself at home.

You are welcome to reserve at the last minute if space is available.

Note: It is not handicap accessible and not child proof. We apologize. Expect to drive, uber or use taxi in and out; we're in an island and a short drive for your conveniences.

We do have 2 exterior cameras that record when movement is detected. One is facing the driveway, the other is facing the backyard path.
