Comfortable Oamaru Townhouse

Picked up by the host, Ron and made very welcome by both he and Ger throughout my stay. Special and unexpected was joining them both for dinner out the first night and spending NY eve together. Also Ger giving up nearly an entire day to show me around Oamaru. Couldn't ask for more accommodating hosts. They are a special pair and I hope to see more of them in future

Ron and Ger's home is perched overlooking Oamaru city and bay. Stunning view, especially from the guest room. They were very social and we enjoyed our evenings chatting about everything in front of their wood burning stove that warmed the room. Ger and I set out on a whim to see local attractions. It was nice to simply ride and not be concerned with GPS directions. Their home is near restaurants, and major attractions where penguins and seals can be seen.

We stayed with Ron and Gers for a weekend visit to discover Oamaru. Super convenient location just up the hill from the main part of town visitors want to see. great ocean views. comfortable furnishings. We really enjoyed meeting them, having a glass of wine and learning about local life. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

Ger and Ron are great hosts and ready with local knowledge and warm hospitality and conversation. Their house has a great view of Oamaru and the large warm bedroom has a new en suite with lovely touches like tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay with Ron and Ger. Their house is extremely comfortable and has amazing views from nearly every room. The bed is super comfortable, high quality linens, and they have new updated private bath. I can't recommend them enough as we had nice conversations and it felt like we were visiting long time friends.

Great place with amazing view over the ocean! The room is clean and and taken care of. Ron was very helpful with suggestions and had a lovely small talks. Would definitely recommend for others to stay here

Ron was a welcoming and friendly host. The room was very clean and updated as well as our ensuite and the house being on the hill had stunning views right over the whole town. Would definitely recommend a stay at this place.

We can't recommend staying with Ron and Ger enough. The house was lovely, the bed very comfortable, and the views fantastic. And to top it all off, Ron and Ger are an absolutely lovely couple and wonderful hosts. When we are next in the area, we will definitely stay with them again.

I was made feel at home immediately by Ron and Ger who had a lot of information on Oamaru's attractions. Bed was very comfortable and I appreciated being collected from the bus. Fantastic views over the town and the harbour.
