Chateau Mareuil is an authentic ancient medieval chateau set in rural tranquility in a pretty corner of the Vienne region of France.
The Studio at Chateau Mareuil is a charming recent conversion of former animal barn and is very conveniently situated close to the impressive 12m x 6m pool!
It has its own private entrance and sunny courtyard for al fresco living and comprises a bedroom with kitchenette and separate shower room/wc.
In addition to the pool, guests have access to a separate bar/games room with pool table, private river walks, barbecue facilities and extensive gardens.
The chateau itself is also available for private rental and accommodates 10 guests in luxurious surroundings - please see our other ad for details.
Our pretty chateau and surrounding buildings is featured on the UK Channel 4's ever popular "Chateau - DIY" formerly named "Escape to the Chateau DIY".

I live in a pretty cottage just next door to the lovely Chateau Mareuil with my husband of 18 years and 2 crazy cats! Lee and I are totally in love with France! We bought our first property here in 2007, a charming Normandy cottage. In 2015, we fulfilled our ambition to own a chateau - we bought Chateau Mareuil, our pretty medieval chateau right in the middle of France. We are very excited as Chateau Mareuil is featured on Channel 4's popular " Chateau - DIY"! We now live here in France; and our beautiful chateau, petit donjon and our studio apartment are available for your next holiday.

Chateau Mareuil is set in rural tranquillity and we are pretty sure that most guests are attracted to visit with that in mind. However, we are accepting of groups and parties, we just ask that the party carries on indoors after 23h! This is a no smoking property. We welcome well behaved dogs (2 max)
