At Villa Sempurna, Attention to detail is foremost! Everything is hand made, designed, and created in Bali and brought back to the Villa. As you enter Villa Sempurna you are greeted by a magnificent Chen sculpture, unified hand carved Javanese doors and walls with sandblasted sliding doors that entice you to enter .... Into Henry’s Henry’s Hang-Out Javanese Marble floors embrace the hand bent recycled wrought iron Gothic bed as it floats with a Saki glass statue beaming behind. A down stuffed velvet cut “L” shaped sofa sits infront of a Teak and Brass table which in itself is a work of art. The room is peppered with interesting uniqueness. Through the bedroom doors lies a closet Arnoire, a glass and marble shower. Appointed with Henry’s Hang-Out Organic Shampoo, Conditioner, and Shower Gel all hand made in Bali. Through the sandblasted Tribal Dayak designed doors you see a mirrored replica of the glass door in Stainless Steel and Teak ...There is the private toilet area with mirrored and tumbled marble walls and a marble sink on a Chen stand. So let me share this with you, Henry’s Hang-Out, is a new addition to Villas Sempurna, Like Pearls Hideaway has a queen, Henry was the original”Boss”. Henry was born and bred in Brooklyn, started started the Junket business in Vegas and beyond with Pearlie Girlie he went in to become a legend in his own right! He starred and produced the first drug movie “Superfly” and became a major clothing manufacturer. My memories of the “Boss”go as for back as my second birthday on a crap table in a casino in Vegas or the Bahamas. I remember picking me up on stage and singing Little Teddy Bear to me (Ironically, I married a Teddy) Maybe he knew something??? My father hung with “The Rat Pack”.
Henry made Sammy Davis Junior's first Jewish star that he wore everyday. Sammy stayed in my fathers hotels when the ones he was playing at would not accept him because of the color of his skin!....These were the men I looked up to as a child. Hard acts to follow, icons to emulate.
I wanted to create this venue with all the major influences in mind. Ofcourse, Number #1 is Henry
