Enjoy a zen retreat in Michigans Art Coast community of Fennville. Your extra large room is appointed with Mid century pieces and hand curated art , a queen size bed with fresh laundered linens and plenty of space for clothing in 4 large drawers in bed frame base along with a standing wardrobe. Your bathroom is stocked with many essentials and towels for shower and the beach/local venue pools. My home is close to many LGBTQ+ hot spots like the Dunes and you have your own parking pad but if you chose to leave your car behind there are many cab services locally that will take you anywhere locally at any hour of the day or night. As your host I will share many great common and not so common places and things to explore. There are many breweries, vineyards, state parks, beaches and shops galore. Whether you need a zen retreat everyday or a place to recover after your adventures I believe you won’t find a better place locally for the price.
I serve a light breakfast of coffee, juice, toast or bagels. The kitchen is not available for cooking fish, curries or pungent dishes.
The yard is multiple acres of heavily wooded manicured gardens. Three hammocks for private lounging as well as a fully furnished patio with gas fire table for an evening stargaze or daytime sunning. If you are into any type of gardening, landscaping, koi or tropical indoor plants then you are in for a treat!! ******** more thing....I am very 420 friendly! Just smoke outdoors is all I ask . My home is a non-smoking space.

Entrepeneur by heart and local business owner. I moved from Chicago to enjoy the country life I have long missed. My background includes having been firefighter/paramedic, massage therapist for 14 years and before that ran a 50 acre USDA approved ranch for importing and exporting rare breeds of livestock. I now enjoy most of my free time in my gardens, landscaping the yard and relaxing near my koi pond. I am a naturist at heart and always have been and my property gives me that freedom to enjoy. I am a geek for the art of making great coffee and have a large selection of ways to make it in my kitchen. Last but not least I am a dog dad of 3 including a 13 yr old Schnauzer, a 6 year old Golden Doodle and a Newfiedoodle puppy.

Very close to Saugatuck and Douglas and a short walk to downtown Fennville. There are many LGBTQ owned businesses locally and many others support our community. The Dunes resort and Campit are close to my location for fun activities catering to the LGBTQ 🏳🌈 community.

Here are some musts: You must love dogs as I have 3. They aren’t allowed to join you outside unless I’m with you and only let outside by me. They are hypoallergenic and i have baby gates in place to keep them out of your part of the house should you prefer. Clothing optional in the house in most areas I just ask guests to not hang out in kitchen nude. The outdoor has plenty of places for nude sunbathing or lounging. I am happy to go over the areas with you upon arrival, just ask. The home is a shared living space with multiple living spaces we share together as well as the possibility of other guests so just be respectful of everyone.

Dave is a wonderful host and great with communication. The grounds are serene and lovely with lots to explore and enjoy. Our bedroom was very nice as well. With all the trees around I'd love to stay in the winter and see the snow out the windows while sitting by the fire. It's also just a short drive to Saugatuck. I highly recommend staying here.

Dave was a great host. Easy to communicate with. Beautiful house and gardens. In person view is so much better than the pictures, which are good. He was kind and caring of my needs. Such a relaxing setting. The value for what you get is worth a stay.

Zen River Bottom was exactly what we were looking for. After a road trip through Michigan visiting friends and family, we were looking forward for a low-key, quite place to unwind. David definitely delivered. The grounds around the house were absolutely beautiful, although we didn't get to enjoy the full beauty because of on/off rains. We enjoyed interacting with his dogs. With only one other guest room, we didn't have to interact with a lot of people. Walkable to downtown Fennville.

Dave was a great host. He showed me how to access everything needed for a relaxing stay. Had a great time laying out on the terrace and walking through the gardens. His home is located in a beautiful area that is easy to find your way back to. Would definitely recommend.

Dave is an amazing host! He met me at the house for check in, provided a tour of the property, introduced me to his dogs, and made me feel welcomed at all times. His garden is so beautiful you want to hang out there all the time. Can't wait to go back.

David was a fantastic host. He reached out ahead of time to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible, and was just as accommodating the entire time I was there. I enjoyed the conversations and relaxing on the property. It is truly an incredible spot - the yard/gardens are beautiful, peaceful, and private. It's also in a terrific location, next to some great restaurants in Fennville and also a quick (10 min) drive to Saugatuck/Douglas. David was very helpful with recommendations and so hospitable.
