Hi! I'm Richard and I've lived in Auckland for around 10 years, off and on since the 1990s. Hands down, this is the best city I've ever lived in (and I've lived in quite a few!), and I can't wait to share my love of it with you. I'm originally from Glasgow in Scotland. I have incredibly itchy feet, and travel is my big passion. That, combined with a lifelong obsession with the natural world, means I've been to some pretty far-flung places and done some extraordinary things in my life. Antarctica, the Galapagos islands and Arctic Norway are just some of the places I've been. But, for me, the best thing about travel is the people that you get to know along the way; we humans are endlessly interesting, and I never tire of meeting people and hearing their stories and views on the world.
