Vaughan and John (and Bosley the dog) were great hosts and very welcoming and accommodating of this weary traveler on a cold winter evening. A great location and place. Very happy to recommend and look forward to staying again in the future.

We had a great stay at Vaughn and John's. We weren't there for too much of our trip to the bay, but the time that we spent there was awesome. The house is immaculate, in an idyllic location, and easy to find. Communication with Vaughn and John was seamless too. We'd highly recommend.

We had a fabulous overnight stay with Vaughan, John and Bosley (the most cuddly Labrador in existence). Excellent hosts with a perfectly appointed rural property including beautiful gardens and sweeping views over the hills, just a wee drive out from town. Very accommodating with our late arrival and incredibly hospitable. We look forward to hosting them in return when they next come over to Melbourne!

Vaughan and John treated me like a friend from the very start. I had a wonderful stay. They are very friendly and have a beautiful place out in the country. I also enjoyed company of Bosley, the dog and Peppy, the cat. I'll definitely recommend them.

Was great to stay with Vaughn and John. Vaughn went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and to host us. Can definitely recommend this one as a unique Hawkes Bay experience. Don't for get to ask them about the pizza and beer next door.

These guys are perfectionists but understated, just come in and make yourself at home. The place is neat & tidy (actually immaculate), tastefully renovated and furnished while remaining comfortable. Friendly, low key, do your own thing, we enjoyed a dinner together and a great chat the next night. It was well worth driving out of town to stay there, even the dogs accepted me easily. My turn to cook next time. Happily recommended.

We had a blast. The guys are so friendly and the house is a warm welcome. We stay there for two days and it was awesome. The garden and the house where perfect. We feel like home. We got a lot of tips. Even we're in their house we had are own privacy when we want. The opens there house for us if we're friends. If I ever come back to NZ I will visit the south island but not before we sleep one night here.

Great hosts, make you feel welcome and at the same time respect your privacy. Their house is beautiful, great dogs and cows & horses right passed the creek! Recommend it!
