The rooms at the El Mesón de Despeñaperros feature tiled floors and simple décor. Each one has a private bathroom and a TV, some of which are flat-screen TVs.
The hotel’s restaurant serves a mixture of Mediterranean food and traditional dishes from Jaén province. There is also a Spanish-style café-bar serving drinks and light meals throughout the day.
You can drive to Jaén in around 45 minutes from the Mesón. Baeza and Úbeda, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, are around 50 minutes’ drive away.
