“A very no-frills hotel but clean and fairly well situated to both the Castro and SoMa. There are a number of interesting cafes and businesses in the area but the neighborhood can be a little seedy at times. Overall, good value for the price.”

Uncomfortable bed dilapidated state was verbally harassed by locals I broke out in hives from the sheets. It's not a safe area window was left open when I arrived

Good, budget accommodations in a great location two blocks from the BART and six blocks from the Castro. Conveniently equipped with a microwave and fridge, and the staff were friendly.

This is an overall 1 star property. Not very friendly when calling in for questions nor when checking in. Although did let us get into our room before the very emphasized "check in" time. No elevator, no a/c. The room did have very clean new sink, shower, fixtures all that were new and worked perfectly. Good water pressure. Toilet ran forever and noisy. The entire room felt like it was leaning and would tumble at any moment. Bed was comfortable. We had new windows and shutters that worked perfectly. We did have a box fan that we placed on window for better air circulation and cooling the room. Tiny room, buy it did have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Location at first looked sketchy, but never had any safety issues. It's close to restaurants, grocery store and transportation. Outside wall of the building had an official sign posted advising: "This building is in violation of the requirements of the San Francisco building code requiring earthquake safety ".

We couldn't stay there, not for even one night , we check straight back out but paid for two nights out of our six night stay , the place had a horrible smell as soon as you walked in the front door , that smell continued throughout the building and into our room . It didn't seam much like a hotel at all more of a boarding house and I think that's why it had this smell through the whole place ,like people cooking all different types of food . We knew it was budget when we booked but definitely was not expecting that
